Down 5 with under a minute to play in the game, Klemen Prepelic almost willed his team to Finals but Nicolas Batum saved the day for France with a game-saving block as France hold on to win the game, 90-89.

Luka Doncic recorded the third ever triple-double in Olympic basketball with 16 points, 18 assists and 10 rebounds. It is the first since LeBron James' triple double in London Olympics.

Nando De Colo led the French with 25 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 threes. New Knicks guard Evan Fournier added 23 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 threes.

Mike Tobey led Slovenia in scoring with 23 points on a very efficient 10/14 shooting. He also grabbed 8 boards. Prepelic had 17 points including four straight points that put Slovenia within 1.

Prepelic had a chance to win the game with a layup but Batum blocked his game-winning layup attempt.

France will play Team USA basketball for gold medal game while Slovenia and Australia will battle for bronze.
